Chelsea transfer updates

Frank lampard has made 2 remarkable signings, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech. And with a persistent pursuit for Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz, he seems to have a lot of key areas he wants to fill in the Chelsea squad.

Lampard, continuously, displays his keen interest in Leicester’s Ben Chilwell, and there are speculations he may become a Chelsea player anytime soon. Also, he has shown his desire to correct what was Arguably Chelsea’s biggest problem of last season, the defence, as seen in his sustained interest for Westham’s Declan Rice or possibly Brighton’s Lewis Dunk.

Chelsea is reportedly in the market for a safer hands in the goal keeping area. It appears Kepa has lost the touch that instigated a big money move few years back. Nick Pope of Burnley, Andre Onana of Ajax and most recently Ben Foster of relegated Watford are several goalkeepers Chelsea is aiming at.

A host of Premier League clubs are reported to be interested in his services if he goes out on loan for another season.

Liverpool transfer updates

Thiago Alcântara

Liverpool have contacted Bayern Munich regarding Thiago, reports Bild. The midfielder has been heavily liked with the Reds in recent weeks. And it appears Jurgen Klopp’s side is serious about the interest. Thiago is seen as a much-creative link to the Liverpool midfield.

Georginio Wijnaldum

According to Sky Sports, there are currently no talks or negotiations regarding a contract extension but the report claims Wijnaldum ‘will continue to give 100 per cent’ during Liverpool’s title defence next season.

The Netherland’s international has been described by staff as an ‘incredible person’ and is regarded as indispensable by his manager Jurgen Klopp.

Despite talks currently at a stand-off, the report did claim that a new deal could be offered to Wijnaldum sooner rather than later. The fact that neither party is at the table negotiating does not suggest Liverpool are willing to sell the Dutchman.
