The Blues are really having a very wonderful transfer summer, as they have seen the successful acquisition of five players already. According to The Sun, Chelsea are about to seal a deal for two of their remaining targets, with the club interested in sealing the deals for Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Harvertz and West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
The reports suggest that Chelsea coach Frank Lampard looks to pull off a double swoop for Declan Rice and Kai Havertz that could cost around £122m.
The Blues have already spent around £131m on striker Timo Werner, winger Hakim Ziyech and left-back Ben Chilwell and are still ready to spend an extra £122m on two top targets.
Havertz is said to be relatively close to sealing his move from Germany to England, with Chelsea set to complete a £72.2m plus bonuses move for him.
The 21-year-old has been a top Chelsea target and recently, reports revealed that Bayer Leverkusen has found his replacement and that he would soon finalise his move to Chelsea.
Also, Chelsea have genuine interest in West Ham midfielder Declan Rice who can also play as a central defender. The Blues are interested in signing the Englishman, with head coach Frank Lampard ready to utilize him in different positions next season.
Rice is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in British football after becoming an integral part of West Ham’s first team having joined their youth ranks from Chelsea six years ago.
However, the youngster is expected to cost Chelsea something not less than £50m.
