Chelsea fans demand for Said Benrahma transfer to Chelsea as Brentford star impresses in play-off

Brentford winger Said Benrahma was in impressive form as his side took on Swansea in the Championship play-off semi-final second leg and Chelsea fans have made a transfer demand to their club.

Frank Lampard has been keeping a close tab on the Algerian’s situation as he weighs up a potential summer move.

Chelsea could be set to lose Willian, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

Benrahma is seen as the ideal replacement and he showed his pedigree with an early assist to help Brentford overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit to lead 2-1 on aggregate at half-time.

The Bees star’s impressive showing got Chelsea fans excited on social media over a potential summer deal.

“I hope Chelsea is still interested in Benrahma, cos that lad has high potential,” one supporter wrote.

Benrahma scored 17 goals and registered eight assists as Brentford finished third in the Championship.

The ex-Nice youngster has recently reacted to rumours linking him with a move to Stamford Bridge.

“I was really flattered [to see myself linked with those clubs],” Benrahma said.

“But, at the same time, I am so focused about getting out of the Championship with Brentford that I do not pay too much attention. But it gives me confidence.”
