According to report from Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia, the blues have officially lunch an initial £50m to sign the former Chelsea player from one of the London rivals.

Chelsea have identify West Ham Declan Rice as his ‘No1 transfer target’ this summer, but the Blues have been struggling to match the huge sum West Ham are demanding for the England International.
However, Sky Sports few hours ago are claiming that Chelsea have made their opening bid for the England defensive midfielder.
It’s claimed that Frank Lampard wants Rice to fill the void in defence and not his preferred defensive midfield role.

The West Ham United midfielder has long been linked with a move to the Blues, who actually released him from their youth system as a 15-year-old.
Rice’s ability to play centre-back could well also be part of Chelsea’s interest in the player, with Lampard also said to be keen to bolster his defence this season.
However, It seems unlikely that £50m will be enough to land Rice, with West Ham reportedly valuing the England International for around £70m.
